Joseph A Hesch

Joe Hesch is another New York based poet. He’s a bit special, not least because, whilst he has been a writer most of his life, he didn’t set out in life to be a poet. In fact he started writing poetry, like me, only very recently, but is already published. I’ll take from Joe’s description of himself, in his ‘About Me’, an extract from which goes as follows:

“I’m a writer. That’s what I do. It’s what I’ve always done. And I’ve been doing it for a living since I was 20 years old. That’s a long time ago.” and, after a suggestion from a good friend that he try writing some poetry “Uh, no. Grumpy old fallen journalists do not write poetry”..
