(For Dave and Parrysa)
I want to know if you will marry me;
if there’s to be a wedding, you and I
will go to, see the bride in finery,
the groom all puffed and proud to catch her eye.
I think it will be both our dreams come true,
your faith in me, my faith in you and He
who rules the world will bind my faith in you,
then, will we wake tomorrow and be free,
leaving our cares behind, on distant shore,
with the light of love in the eyes of progeny,
we’ll sit, hold hands and want for nothing more
for years together, we’ll keep our family
and have no fears because someone above
has blessed our lives with surety and love.
