(…and the birdsong in the trees)
It was on the RSPB Community blog site that I was in the process of registering myself, when one of the fields in my ‘profile’ asked for the ‘About’ information. So instead of the usual brief biog, I wrote this poem.
I imagine, no I don’t need to imagine it, I can and do regularly sit, as I was at lunchtime today, in the garden listening to the birdsong echoing through our trees…
By the way, for the uninitiated, the birding world’s acronym ‘GIS’ refers to the first fleeting observations of a bird in the field, in flight for example, which is a precursor to positive identification; it means “General Impression and Shape”.
